Drs. Domingo Pascual, Pedro Luis Sánchez and Jorge López Ayerbe have directed 'Cardiology Skills', one of the main commitments of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC, Sociedad Española de Cardiología) in the field of continuous training. The application is divided into five modules (Basics; Arrhythmias; Imaging; Hemodynamics; Acute cardiac care) and includes 26 real diagnostic and therapeutic management procedures recorded at several Spanish Hospitals. The video tutorials show the cases in detail, from the previous preparations and the step-by-step procedures to the result interpretation, as well as different tricks and troubleshooting information.
The 'Cardiology Skills' application presents these 26 procedures: Electrocardiogram; Holter for arrhythmias and events; Ankle Brachial Index, arterial blood pressure monitoring; Stress Test, transthoracic echocardiography; electrical cardioversion; PSVT (vagal manoeuvres and adenosine); pacemaker; tilt test; Transesophageal Echocardiography; Stress Echo; cardiac magnetic resonance imaging; myocardial perfusion tomography or SPECT; Coronary CT Scan; Swan-Ganz; venous lines; arterial lines; intra-aortic balloon pump; thoracentesis; hypothermia; basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation; advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation; pericardiocentesis; non-invasive mechanical ventilation; orotraqueal intubation.
